TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST IMPRESSION IN A JOB INTERVIEW:

•  Research company via company website, searches or literature—understand the company's mission and what they do.

•  Dress professionally in a conservative color/style business suit, conservative makeup, jewelry, shined shoes…There is nothing like a first impression!

•  Prepare a list of questions for your interviewer that will assist you in learning more about the organization, corporate culture and current position.

•  Know where you are going! Arrive 10-15 minutes early for your interview.

•  Bring several copies of your resume (on quality paper) in a portfolio.

•  Bring samples of your work (to show computer proficiency) and/or accomplishment/awards as applicable.

•  Complete all applications NEATLY and in detail. DO NOT write “See Resume” on the application. Write “Open” for salary desired.

•  Offer a firm handshake when introducing yourself—this exudes confidence.

•  Remember to keep good eye contact throughout the interview.

•  Keep a smile on your face and show enthusiasm in the opportunity.

•  Speak positively about former employers.

•  Answer questions concisely.

•  At the end of the interview ask if there is any further information you can offer to assist them in making their decision. Then express your sincere interest in the position.

•  Prepare a thank you card/email as soon as you return home expressing your appreciation of their time and your interest in the position.

•  Call Hire Excellence IMMEDIATELY following your interview.
